Messenger in an Inf. Regt.

He fell during the heavy fighting in the East on 9 August 1942, six weeks after his youngest brother. At the age of 32 he lived 31 years in a happy marriage. For eight years he was sexton and organist of the parish church in Pellingen.

In deep pain:

Wife and two children, parents, parents-in-law, brothers and relatives

May he find mercy, God. Gentle Jesus, Ruler, give him eternal rest!

Boodschapper in een Inf.-Regt.

Hij sneuvelde tijdens de zware gevechten in het oosten op 9 augustus 1942, zes weken na zijn jongste broer. Op 32-jarige leeftijd leefde hij 31 jaar lang een gelukkig huwelijk. Acht jaar lang was hij koster en organist van de parochiekerk in Pellingen.
