The press photo was issued on 21 March 1944 and shows a German "Funktrupp" located in the middle of the Eastern Front. The soldiers are crossing the destroyed bridge, while they see the bodies of fallen Soviet soldiers "Bolsheviks" lying next to them. The photo was taken by "Kriegsberichter Weber". De persfoto is uitgegeven op 21 maart 1944 en laat een Duits 'Funktrupp' zien dat zich midden in het Oostfront bevind. De militairen steken de verwoeste brug over, terwijl ze de lichamen van gesneuvelde Sovjetsoldaten 'bolsjewieken' naast hun zien liggen. De foto is gemaakt door 'Kriegsberichter Weber'.
