Dutch pamphlet: The liberation of Hollandia, step back in Dutch East Indies 1944

This historical pamphlet from the Second World War shows how American and Australian troops liberated the town of Hollandia in New Guinea on 22 April 1944. This was the first piece of Dutch East Indies territory to be recaptured from the Japanese. The photo shows burning Japanese aircraft immediately after an American bombing raid. Due to this victory, the Dutch authorities were able to resume administration there. Cool item for in the display cabinet!

Dit historische pamflet uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog laat zien hoe Amerikaanse en Australische troepen op 22 april 1944 de plaats Hollandia op Nieuw-Guinea bevrijdden. Dit was het eerste stukje Nederlands-Indische grondgebied dat van de Japanners werd heroverd. De foto laat brandende Japanse vliegtuigen zien direct na een Amerikaans bombardement.
