Dutch Volksdienst NVD stamps

All 4 stamps are still in nice condition and are still attached to each other. It is difficult to find them still together nowadays. The NVD was a National Socialist welfare organization founded during the German occupation to Nazify social welfare in the Netherlands. The stamps read "Moeder met vacantie!", referring to the NVD program that organized holiday weeks in special 'Moedertehuizen' for mothers from large families. This also served as a propaganda tool at the time. Nice set that would certainly not look out of place in the collection!

De zegels verkeren alle 4 nog in een mooie staat en zitten nog aan elkaar. Het is lastig om ze tegenwoordig nog aan elkaar te vinden. De NVD was een nationaalsocialistische hulporganisatie die tijdens de Duitse bezetting werd opgericht om het maatschappelijk werk in Nederland te nazificeren. Op de zegels staat"Moeder met vacantie!", wat verwijst naar het NVD-programma dat vakantieweken in speciale 'Moedertehuizen' organiseerde voor moeders uit grote gezinnen. Dit diende destijds als een propagandamiddel. Leuk setje de zeker niet misstaat in de collectie!
