Dutch Volksdienst NVD stamps + envelope

The stamps and envelope are all still in nice condition. It is difficult to find a set like this nowadays. The NVD was a National Socialist welfare organization that was established during the German occupation to Nazify social welfare in the Netherlands. The stamps read "Moeder met vacantie!", referring to the NVD program that organized holiday weeks in special 'Moedertehuizen' for mothers from large families. This also served as a propaganda tool at the time. The envelope contained a letter with confidential information, making this a nice set that certainly deserves a place in the collection!

De zegels en envelop verkeren allemaal nog in een mooie staat. Het is lastig om dit tegenwoordig nog te vinden. De NVD was een nationaalsocialistische hulporganisatie die tijdens de Duitse bezetting werd opgericht om het maatschappelijk werk in Nederland te nazificeren. Op de zegels staat"Moeder met vacantie!", wat verwijst naar het NVD-programma dat vakantieweken in speciale 'Moedertehuizen' organiseerde voor moeders uit grote gezinnen. Dit diende destijds als een propagandamiddel. In de envelop zat een brief met vertrouwelijke info, leuk setje de zeker niet misstaat in de collectie!
